AMNews - The assassination of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani has ushered in another turbulent decade for the Middle East. United States President Donald Trump's decision to greenlight the assassination of the head of the Quds Force, the paramilitary wing of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, is for all practical purposes a "declaration of war" with far-reaching implications for the region, especially Iraq.

US attempts to portray Soleimani as a master terrorist leader, like say, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levants's (ISIL, or ISIS) Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is wrong and misses the big picture. Soleimani may have been controversial, even a bloody "shadow commander", but he served at the pleasure of Iran's supreme leader, Ali Hosseini Khamenei, to protect and expand the regime's interests in the Middle East. The killing of Soleimani is an attack on the Iranian state.

So why did the US resort to his assassination, why now and what is its endgame?

The Trump calculus

Several people in Trump's close circle like former national security advisors, Michael Flynn and John Bolton, and "unofficial advisors" like Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, have all incessantly urged him to act militarily against Iran and push for regime change.

But for three years, Trump chose to ignore their advice, insisting that the US does not seek war with the Islamic republic. Instead, he slapped Tehran with tough sanctions aimed at crippling its economy, containing its regional ambitions and forcing it back to the negotiations table to sign another deal - a "Trump deal".

So, what changed?

Well, basically, the Trump administration realised its "maximum pressure" policy has failed. It may have hurt Iran but it did not isolate or deter a bellicose Iranian leadership.

Iran's proxy attack on the US embassy in Baghdad earlier this week was a rude reminder of the humiliating 1979 takeover of the US embassy in Tehran that demoralised the Carter administration and the 2012 attack on the US diplomatic compound in Benghazi that bruised the Obama administration.

The Trump administration, which feared a repeat of this scenario in Baghdad, claims its response was meant to safeguard American lives from future attacks, not start war with Iran. Or, according to the sceptics, it was meant to safeguard the Trump presidency by deflecting attention from the impeachment during an election year.

Either way, the assassination is a clear departure from the policy of sanctions, showing Trump's readiness to use US military might as much as its economic power.

Actions speak louder than words.

Iran's strategy

From the outset, the Islamic republic rejected Trump's abandonment of the nuclear deal and the imposition of sanctions as unacceptable bullying, and refused to sit by idly while US sanctions blocked the country's vital oil exports, crippled its economy and bankrupted its military.

Tehran expanded its proxy attacks on US assets and allies in the area, including recent attacks on tankers in the Gulf and Saudi oil installations, leading up to this week's attack on US positions in Iraq.

Tehran has also cultivated new strategic alliances with Russia and China, joining the two for war games in the Gulf of Oman in late December.

The assassination is not going to change any of these policies; in fact, it will merely accelerate them.

If history is any guide, Iran will absorb the attack at first and avoid an all-out war with far superior US military forces. Trump may have challenged Khamenei for a duel, but the supreme leader prefers fighting in the shadows.

So, respond, he will. His options are plentiful and his timetable is open-ended. This includes assassinations, covert operations, low-intensity warfare and oil and maritime disruptions in the Gulf region.

In other words, more of the same - much more.

This will especially be the case in Iraq, where Iran has long exploited US failure and retrenchment in order to shore up its allies and clients and increase its strategic leverage against the US.

And it may well do that again.

Vying for Iraq

Contrary to conventional wisdom and apocalyptical scenarios of World War III starting, the assassination of Soleimani may well prove to be Trump's ticket out of Iraq, just as the assassination of Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi was his ticket out of the Syrian conflict. This fits in perfectly with his desire for strategic redeployment in the Middle East to extract US troops and civilians from the local hotspots and provide the Pentagon with greater freedom to act against its enemies. This means more drone attacks, special forces operations and guided missile strikes with minimum risk for US personnel.

It is nothing new for the US, which redeployed out of Lebanon following the 1983 bombing of the US Marine barracks, and pulled out of Somalia after the 1993 attack on US troops. Similarly, it is planning a withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Of course, Iraq is different. It is a far bigger deal for the US after it invested billions of dollars and lost thousands of lives trying to keep hold of the country over the past 16 years.

But as a businessman come statesman, Donald Trump is guided by a golden business rule that says: do not throw good money after bad, regardless of pride, oil or partners.

The question is: will Iran exploit this US tendency for retrenchment, or encourage its propensity for war?

Either way, Iraq and the rest of the divided Arab world will continue to suffer as a result, in accordance with the old Swahili proverb: when elephants fight and when they play, it is the grass that gets crushed. | aljazeera.com

AMNews - A release from the office of the chairman of the United Liberation Movement for West Papua, Benny Wenda, says it's the first time the three major factions have come under a single arm.

Under the This 'Vanimo Border Declaration', the Liberation Movement is taking political leadership of the new grouping, formed today and dubbed the West Papua Army.

Mr Wenda says they are ready to take over Papua and are calling for international and domestic support.

"We welcome any assistance in helping us achieve our liberation. Indonesia cannot stigmatise us as separatists or criminals any more, we are a legitimate unified military and political state-in-waiting," he said in a statement.

The new force includes the West Papua Liberation Army, which is fighting a bloody war with state forces in Nduga regency.

Also joining the united front are the West Papuan National Army and the West Papua Revolutionary Army.[rnz.co.nz]

AMNews - The plan for the Islamic Office of Sharia (DSI) of Langsa City wants to apply whipping (punishment) to players of the Unknown Battleground (PUBG) Player game and the like recently. So, what is the opinion of the Ulama Consultative Assembly (MPU) on this matter?

Prior to the subject matter, it should be noted that the whip law in the Veranda of Makkah has a historical connection with the space given by the central government after the DI / TII rebellion initiated by Daud Beureueuh.

After the rebellion was suppressed, Aceh was given autonomy in the fields of religion, education, and customs. Over time, a number of legislators to support the enforcement of the Shari'a were made and applied in the westernmost province.

In 2003 there was a series of qanun numbers 12, 13, 14, which each regulated khamar (liquor), maisir (gambling), and khalwat (acts of lewdness).

The technical guidelines for the implementation of the whip uqubat are found in Pergub Number 10 of 2005. In the same year, the Bireuen District held its first caning law with 26 convicted perpetrators.

Later, Aceh Qanun Number 6 of 2014 was born regarding Jinayat Law to replace the previous three qanuns. The technical instructions are regulated in Pergub Number 5 of 2018.

The Qanun regulates 10 types of crimes, namely, khamar, maisir, khalwat, ikhtilath (making out / making out), adultery, sexual harassment, rape, qadzaf (adultery fitna without witnesses at least 4 people), liwath (homosexuals), and musahaqah (lesbian) .

The implementation is regulated in Pergub Number 5 Year 2018 concerning the Implementation of Jinayat Procedure Law. Up to this point, there is no new category of jarimah (prohibited acts) other than the 10 criminal types above.

Until finally there was a statement from DSI in Langsa City that planned to apply caning to those who were caught playing PUBG games and the like.

The head of Langsa City DSI, Ibrahim Latif, said that caning is applied if PUBG and the like are included in the gambling category.

"If indeed the game meets the elements and there is evidence related to maisir, it will be whipped," Ibrahim explained on Sunday afternoon (06/23/2019).

"If there are still things like that, we do raids. If there is a judicial element, it means fulfilling the purpose of Qanun Number 6 of 2014, then it must be punished if proven. Of course there is a process. Not immediately," he continued.

It will write to all cyber cafes and cafes in Langsa City as a first step to socialize the ban on PUBG games first. At present, the agency is waiting for a copy of the intended fatwa.

Not final yet

Deputy Chairperson of the Aceh MPU, Tgk. Faisal Ali, said that the plan to implement caning sentences against players of PUBG games and the like still needed to be studied. There must be a workshop to discuss and spawn legal instruments that support its implementation.

"Not necessarily. Need a study. From the qanun that has been prepared, or even from the legal instruments that will be made by experts, that's where it will be answered, what model, for example, if necessary. So, not final," Faisal.

The same statement came from the Head of DSI West Aceh District, M. Isa, and Banda Aceh City, Alizar. To Liputan6.com on Sunday (6/23/2019), both of them claimed that they could not decide whether or not it was appropriate to impose a caning sentence against gamers who had been declared an illegitimate game.

"It depends on the coordination and the results of the collective agreement," said M. Isa.

"It is just the fatwa coming out. From the qanun we have not learned in terms of what it is. It is unlawful from what side," Alizar answered.

Tukato (28), students who often fill their free time by playing PUBG deny that the game is in the gambling category. For him, PUBG is nothing more than a war game that requires its players to be good at managing strategy and tactics on the battlefield.

"Unlike Poker, and the like. There are no bets. Those who spend money only when we buy combat equipment skins, even if we want, are the nature. It's different from when the tournament is held. It's open, right. Same as soccer. considered gambling, "he said on Sunday afternoon (06/23/2019).

PUBG is basically a FPS (First Person Shooter) genre war game and online multiplayer or more than one player, where all players must kill each other until only one player is the winner.

PUBG was created by Brendan Greene and published by Bluehole which was first released on March 23, 2017. In addition to the smartphone version called PUBG Mobile, it is also available in the PC (personal computer), PlayStation, and Xbox versions.

The point of the game is not to be the player with the most scores in killing other players, but being a player who can kill the last player. In this game players can play as a team or squad where one team has a maximum of four players.

AMP - The joint TNI-Polri team is still trying to evacuate all victims of the shooting by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua. At present, it is certain that the Nduga region which was previously the KKB headquarters has been successfully controlled.

"Thank God, we have mastered the situation in Nduga Regency, Papua. "The Head of the Regional Police and Mr. Pangdam have been directing the commander since the day of the incident," explained Police Chief of Public Relations, Brigadier General M. Iqbal at the Yogyakarta Regional Police on Friday (7/12).

Iqbal said that dozens of prisoners who had managed to escape had been evacuated by the authorities. While about the details of the death toll, Iqbal did not want to specify it. But, 9 bodies of victims of PT Istaka Karya workers who were successfully evacuated were identified and handed over to the family.

"We have evacuated several communities and we have evacuated dozens of prisoners who escaped. I will not mention the details, this will take place in the processing of case events on the site because it is related to the investigation and investigation process because this is related to legal procedures. We will ascertain how many figures to this day have died due to alleged killings due to the KKB shooting, "he said.

Successful information on location officials said that so far the death toll was 20 people. 19 people were employees of PT Istaka Karya while one was a member of the Indonesian Armed Forces Handoko Regional Serda. For other data, you still have to explore the information of the surviving workers and other investigations.

"We will do the case. Imagine that you get that number from a living witness. Witnesses who managed to escape, we asked for information. Right now we have arrived at the location. We do things like that. We are data. Give us space to work first, "he concluded.

Land area inhabited by the Dutch community of Depok in 1945. Source: Dutch National Archives.
THOUGH, both of them gain wealth in the Dutch East Indies, Cornelis Chastelein crossed the road with the VOC (East Indies trading airline). In 1691, Chastelein decided to retire as a merchant. He resigned from the Dutch trading partnership because he refused the political exploitation applied by Governor General Mr. Willem of Outhoorn. Chastelein realized that a colony would be stable and prosperous if its inhabitants were not oppressed.

In 1695, Chastelein bought some private land in the south of Batavia including Serengseng (now Lenteng Agung) and Depok. The land in Serengseng was built into a vacation home enjoying his retirement. Meanwhile, Depok land will be used as a land producing agricultural products.

"As the ruler of Depok land, Chastelein wants to realize the ideals of governing with a soft-power approach and the spread of Christian values" said Lilie Suratminto, lecturer in Dutch Literature at FIB UI.

Building Depok City

Cornelis Chastelein became an important figure in the development of Depok land. He was born on August 10, 1657 in Rokin, Amsterdam from a French-Dutch family couple who are located. His father, Anthony Chastelein was a member of De Heeren Zeventien (Council of Seventeen) of the VOC trading partnership. His mother, Maria Cruydenier is the daughter of the mayor of Dordrecht.

Chastelein began his career at the age of 18 as the bookkeeper of the VOC trading company which served in the Dutch East Indies. He then became a merchant as a merchant. In his childhood, Chastelein built his own colonies.

In the Past Traces of Depok: Heritage of Cornelis Chastelein (1657-1714), Jan-Karel Kwisthout revealed Chastelein's actions in managing virgin land which became known as Depok. To manage the fertile Depok land, Chastelein brought in a number of slaves from Bali, Makassar, Malacca, to Sri Lanka. Some excellent natural products are produced, such as: indigo, chocolate, soursop, jackfruit and starfruit. The last fruit has become the mascot of Depok city until now.

The name Depok itself refers to the Dutch language De Eerste Protestantse Organisatie van Kristenen which means the First Christian Organization. According to Kwisthout, Depok is an experiment from Chastelein who wants to perpetuate power through a humanist and religious approach. However, in its development, the name Depok has another story.

"There is the term Padepokan, taken from Sundanese, which means hermitage, referring to Depok as a place of retreat. Depok is also interpreted as the City People's Settlement Area, "said Lilie.

Run over the revolution

Towards death, Chastelein inherited Depok land to his slaves. In a will dated March 13, 1714, the inherited land was mandated in the form of joint ownership. The will also explained, after Chastelein died, 150 of his servants who worked on Depok's farmland would be freed. Both Christians and Muslims gain freedom.

Bacas, Iskah, Jacob, Jonathans, Josef, Laurens, Leander, Loen, Samuel, Soedira, Tholense, and Zadok. The twelve names are the names of family clans who are native to Depok land. Starting from 150 slaves freed by their master, Cornelis Chastelein. For those who have embraced Christianity, they are required to choose one of the 12 clans set by Chastelain, which refers to 12 disciples of Jesus.

Chastelein died on June 28, 1714 in Batavia due to an epidemic epidemic. Since then slaves of agricultural laborers who inherited the land of Chastelein lived as free people. They later became Depok native inhabitants, better known as Dutch Depok. This community lives from generation to generation with the system of government inherited from Chastelein.

The government in Depok is led by a head called the president and assisted by seven members of the advisory board. They are elected through the mechanism of general elections held every three years.

After two centuries of peaceful and prosperous life, disaster struck the Dutch community of Depok. They became victims of the turmoil of the revolution in the early days of Indonesian independence. They must experience the terror and looting known in the "Depok Gedoran" incident because they were considered as remnants of the colonial regime.

Some of these Depok family descendants of Depok still exist today. After merging into the Republic of Indonesia in 1952, they founded the Cornelis Chastelein Institution Foundation (YLCC). This foundation manages Depok historical sites in the past such as churches, cemeteries, schools, and social activities. YLCC is based in the area now known as Depok Lama.

AMP - Presidential candidate number 02, Prabowo Subianto Djojohadikusumo, again issued a controversial statement. Again, the subject he was in charge of was journalists and the mass media.

Speaking at the International Disability Day commemoration in Jakarta, Wednesday, December 5, Prabowo accused the mass media of trying to manipulate democracy. One of them is related to news about the number of participants in Reunion 212.

"The media are amazing with big names and say they are objective, even though they manipulate democracy. We talk right, right, wrong, yes, wrong, they want to say that 11 million is only 15 thousand. Some even say more than 1,000, "Prabowo said.

After the event, the former Kopassus Danjen did not answer the substance of the reporter's questions. He repeated what was said on the pulpit.

"Your editor says there are no people there, only a few tens of thousands, that, right, is not objective, you can't," Prabowo said.

Imitating Trump's Style in America

Media researcher from Remotivi, Muhammad Heychael, considers what Prabowo Subianto has done to journalists and the media as well as US President Donald Trump.

"It's like there is an effort to take Trump's method from the slogan Make Indonesia Great Again and also make an attitude of distrust to the media. Of course supporters will follow," Heychael told Tirto reporters on Thursday (12/06/2018) afternoon.

Prabowo is right to criticize the media, Heychael said, but it must be more specific: where the news is wrong until where the bias is.

"It's good for Prabowo to show it all, instead of building a climate of multimedia. It's precisely a danger. This is not good political education and media literacy."

Nevertheless, Heychael said that the people also had to know that there were media whose owners 'docked' to Jokowi's camp. One example is Surya Paloh. He is the owner of Metro TV and Chair of the Nasdem Party, the incumbent coalition party. That makes Prabowo's sentiment to the media negative.

"But that does not mean that all of Prabowo's protests have become legitimate. Because the 11 million people in 212 were too excessive, their claims should be questioned," he said.

(We once wrote about the total Reunion number 212. Our calculations, indeed the numbers are bombastic and unreasonable. Read the writing here).

Media researcher and observer Andreas Harsono also considered similar. Prabowo's attitude and statement towards journalists and the mass media is considered very dangerous because it is prone to cause misunderstandings and a climate of hatred towards the media.

"The worst thing happened later like Trump and CNN in America. Even Trump supporters had thrown bombs at the CNN office. Don't let Indonesia happen like that," continued Andreas to Tirto reporter.

According to Andreas, public figures of the same class as Prabowo Subianto were not worthy of acting like that, especially in front of the community.

"Unless it is deliberately creating controversy. Sucking attention until everyone is centered on him. This is the strategy of Roger Stone, media strategist Donald Trump first," he said.

Why is Prabowo like that?
One BPN spokesman Arief Poyuono revealed the reason why Prabowo often showed resistance to reporters and the media. The reason is exactly what Heychael stated.

"One of them is because Metro TV is making unbalanced news, more so to Jokowi. We know the owner of Metro TV is in Jokowi's camp now (Surya Paloh). It makes the media a partisan, although there are many other media that are not partisan," Arief said when contacted by a Tirto reporter on Wednesday afternoon.

"This is a media conglomerate," he stressed.

Therefore, he claimed that the one criticized by Prabowo was the media owner who used the public frequency for politics, not the reporters who were actually workers.

"If you want to go to democracy, the owners of political media such as Surya Paloh and Hary Tanoesoedibjo should be aware if they are the ones who delegitimize democracy itself," he said.

"We are not anti-journalist friends in the field, we criticize media owners. Donald Trump was also beaten by a political buzzer, and also a lot of media that Trump does not want to become President of America. If it is not balanced and wrong, we say honestly protesting "That is also done by Trump," he said.

AMP - Two large Dutch-flagged ships seemed to dock at the Port of Aceh in mid-June 1599. Two ships were led by two brothers, namely Frederick and Cornelis de Houtman. Initially, their arrival was welcomed. However, later, Cornelis actually died in the hands of a tough woman, the Admiral Admiral of the Aceh Darussalam Sultanate, Malahayati.

The voyage to Aceh became the number one destination for the de Houtman brothers in the archipelago. Apesnya, almost all efforts to find the center of spices led to failure. Banten, Madura, to Bali, had previously been visited, but it always ended with a contra-local dispute because of the nature of the Dutch sailors who were indeed less friendly.

In the Veranda of Mecca, the siblings' adventure was over. Frederick was once held captive by Acehnese troops and was fortunate enough to finally be able to return to the Netherlands. While Cornelis fared far worse. His life ended at the end of Rencong Admiral Malahayati in a one on one duel that took place on his own ship.

Daughter of the Palace of Soldiers

His real name is Keumalahayati even though he is better known as a shorter greeting: Malahayati. This brave woman is still the core family of the kingdom. His father, Admiral Mahmud Syah, was a descendant of Sultan Ibrahim Ali Mughayat Syah (1513-1530), founder of the Sultanate of Aceh Darussalam (Rusdi Sufi in Ismail Sofyan, eds., Nusantara Main Woman in Historical Tracks, 1994: 30).

Since childhood, Malahayati did not really like to preen. He was more fond of practicing dexterity which would later lead him to the dream he really wanted: becoming a warlord even though he was a woman. Talent flowed directly from his father and grandfather who had served as naval admiral of the Sultanate of Aceh.

Islamic teachings are indeed taken seriously in Aceh. However, gender affairs do not matter too much. The proof is that the Sultanate of Aceh Darussalam was once governed by several queens or sultans. In the following period, Aceh was closely linked to the leadership of strong women such as Cut Nyak Dien, Cut Meutia, and so on.

So, it was not too much of a problem if in the end Malahayati chose the military route as her life choice. He was one of the results of Mahad Baitul Makdis's upbringing, the academy of the Aceh Darussalam Sultanate army which recruited several war instructors from Turkey (Solichin Salam, Malahayati: Srikandi from Aceh, 1995: 26). Malahayati seems to be very talented on the road that must be traveled with that struggle.

Appearing as one of the best graduates at Mahad Baitul Makdis brought Malahayati to a higher level. In the era of Sultan Alauddin Riayat Shah al-Mukammil (1589-1604), he was appointed Commander of the Darud-Dunia Palace - Chief Guard and Commander of the Palace Protocol - replacing his deceased husband while facing the Portuguese in Teluk Haru, Malacca waters.

Sultan Alauddin also gave Malahayati the confidence to occupy the highest leadership of the royal navy, with the rank of admiral, a position that had also been carried out by his father and grandfather. Malahayati was mentioned as the first female admiral in the archipelago, maybe even in the world (Endang Moerdopo, Wanita Keumala, 2008: xi).

Duel Against the Dutch Captain
Malahayati did not only lead an army that was dominated by male groups. He also mobilized the strength of women, especially the widows whose husbands left behind during the war in Teluk Haru, just like him. This line of courageous widows led by Malahayati is known as Inong Balee (Damien Kingsbury, Peace in Aceh, 2006: 195).

Initially, the Inong Balee forces only had 1,000 members. But then his strength increased to 2,000 female soldiers. Malahayati made Lamreh Bay Krueng Raya as its military base, and in the hills located not far from there, he built a fortress and watchtower.

Malahayati did stand out in those days. In addition to managing troops, he oversees all ports and trade ports in the Aceh Darussalam region, along with his ships. At that time, the sultanate had no less than 100 large ships, each of which could carry more than 400 passengers.

Until June 21, 1599, a group of Dutch explorers led by de Houtman brothers arrived at the dock owned by Aceh Darussalam. There were two large ships that came, named de Leeuw and de Leeuwin (Ibrahim Alfian, Face of Aceh in the History Track, 1999: 67). Frederick and Cornelis de Houtman acted as captains of each of these ships.

Initially, the relations between the migrants from Europe and the people and the Sultanate of Aceh Darussalam were well-established. Until then, due to the behavior of the Dutch people as well as provocations from a Portuguese who was trusted by Sultan Alauddin, the seeds of conflict began to emerge.

Realizing the situation that was starting to get hot, Frederick and Cornelis coordinated on their ship, preparing themselves to face a very likely attack. And indeed, Sultan Alauddin ordered Admiral Malahayati to invade two Dutch ships that still survived in the Malacca Strait.

So, there was a battle in the middle of the sea. The Dutch Fleet was apparently overwhelmed by the thousands of Malahayati's forces, including a line of widows dying. Until finally, Admiral Malahayati managed to reach the ship Cornelis de Houtman, and faced each other.

Malahayati clutched a rencong in her hand, while the Dutch captain armed with a sword. Even one-on-one duels occur between two people of different sexes. On one occasion in the middle of the fight, Malahayati managed to stab Cornelis to death.

The Dutch fleet lost and lost enough people. While those who were left were arrested and thrown into prison, including Cornelis' brother, Frederick de Houtman. This heroic event is told again by Marie van C. Zeggelen (1935) in a book called Oude Glorie.

Several decades after the battle, in 1604, Admiral Malahayati died by leaving a big name which was even recognized by European nations (Fenita Agustina, ed., 100 Great Women: Voice of Women Inspiring the World, 2010: 87). The body of the Srikandi from the rencong land was buried at the foot of Bukit Krueng Raya, Lamreh, Aceh Besar.

Centuries later, more than 400 years ago, the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) pinned the title of National Hero for Malahayati, on November 6, 2017. Now people know, Aceh doesn't just have Cut Nyak Dien or Cut Meutia, there are also figures another woman who is no less powerful, the first female admiral in the world, Malahayati.(*)

The rescue team collected items from the victims of the crash of the Lion Air JT 610 aircraft in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Monday (29/10). Passenger goods were collected at the Jakarta International Container Center II Basarnas Command Post. (OFFICIAL MALAYS / AFP)
AMP - The joint SAR team from Basarnas and the Navy found several parts of the Lion Air JT 610 which crashed in Tanjung Karawang, West Java. Basarnas suspected that the plane was found not intact because of the pressure and heavy impact of sea water.
"In my opinion, from that altitude to the water the pressure is louder. It may also be because the collision also broke and caused debris to have an impact on the body of the victim," said Basarnas Operations Director, Brigadier General Bambang Suryo Aji at the Basarnas Building, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Monday (10/29/2018).
Bambang Suryo also cannot confirm whether the Lion Air JT 610 aircraft exploded before falling into the sea or not. However, the tail fragments found showed no burn marks.
"We don't know whether or not it exploded," Bambang said.
"The fragments of the tail are found, there is the Lion logo. There is nothing like burning, just a piece," he added.
So far, the Basarnas have not been able to ascertain the cause of the fall of the Lion Air JT 610 aircraft. Is it due to bad weather or technical errors or human error.
"I have not received (information) for sure whether this is due to human error or because of bad weather. I dare not give a statement, fear. Later on from the flight and from the NTSC itself who will provide information. Our job here is to try to find a wreck and "evacuate the victim as soon as possible," Bambang said.
There Are No Survivors Congratulations?
He predicts, there are no survivors. As is known, the Lion Air JT610 aircraft with the Jakarta-Pangkal Pinang route brought a total of 189 people both passengers and crew.
"My prediction is that there are no survivors. Because the victims who were found only a few pieces of their bodies have not been intact, so in a few hours this is very likely the number of 189 victims has died," Bambang said.
Previously, the SAR Team and the Navy carried out sweeping in the waters of Tanjung Karawang, West Java, the location of the fall of the Lion Air JT-160 plane on the Jakarta-Pangkal Pinang route.
Monitoring Liputan6.com, the team found objects suspected of belonging to the crashed passenger plane. In addition, the joint SAR team found a body that was not intact.
When at 05 ° 51,926 'LS 107 ° 06,797' BT, a member sees a large object floating on the surface. Members also pulled him to the ship.
Sure enough, when it was successfully appointed to the ship it was the body of the victim Lion Air.

AMP - Zoonosis is a disease caused by infectious organisms such as viruses, bacteria, and parasites that can be transmitted from animals to humans, or vice versa. Bird flu, is one of several diseases transmitted from animals to humans.
Veterinary Advisor, Borneo Orangutan Rescue Center, International Animal Rescue, Joost Philippa, said there has recently been an increase in zoonoses as human contact with animals increases. Especially on farms that have many animals but small shelter. "Surely, in every era of human life will always be accompanied by the emergence of new diseases."
Joost says, social and ecological changes related to the spread of human populations and changes in the environment and globalization, can also have implications for the emergence of zoonoses. "This disease also develops as the world develops rapidly," he explained.
Boedi Setiawan, Lecturer at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Airlangga University Surabaya, said that zoonosis is a disease that can occur anywhere. "However, the impact has the potential to become severe (emerging zoonoses) if previously ever epidemic."

Boedi explained, the disease can use animals as a medium for its survival. Direct zoonosis, the disease agent requires only one vertebrate as a host between the direct disease-borne disease, that is, the disease agent infects the animal and then moves on to humans.

There is also Cyclo zoonosis, an illness agent requiring two or more vertebrate hosts. Meta zoonoses, disease agents require vertebrate hosts and invertebrates. Alternatively, Sapro zoonosis, the disease agent requires a host between organic matter or non-soulful living matter as a place for accumulation of disease.

Many factors can trigger disease in animals. "The disease can attack primarily in conditions of weak animals, stress, dirty environment, and poor maintenance," he explained.

The mode of transmission of diseases from animals to humans can be through various vectors, such as organisms that carry pathogens from one host to another. Vectors that can bring disease to humans include insects (insects). For example through mites (flea) or ticks that are consumed by infected animals and then eaten by humans. In the process, they transmit infectious organisms. "Zoonotic disease is often fatal, both for animals and humans."
However, we often do not know the dangers that threaten if the disease, because less alert and do not know. Often we just realized after a complete examination as well as in cases of toxoplasmosis. "This disease is not enough to be diagnosed only based on clinical symptoms, but it can only be confirmed after a blood test with the right method," said Boedi.
To avoid or minimize zoonoses, we require early monitoring and detection of disease outbreaks in animals and humans, so that effective control strategies can be carried out at an early stage. "Limiting exposure is also very important that improving hygiene and safety in farms. Or, minimize contact with wild animals by stopping forest encroachment and stopping the consumption of wild animals, "said Joost.

Type Zoonosis

The Language Of The United Kingdom

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran's Supreme Leader, revealed that Israel will suffer destruction at 2040.

The people of Iran mengamini statement of Khamenei himself began to count down the day of the destruction of Israel, it is marked with rallies in almost all regions of the country.

Khamenei himself on 2015 and then declare Israel destroyed was not going to have to wait until a quarter of a century again.

Rally held to commemorate the day of Al-Quds in support of Palestinian independence on Friday, (23/6/2017) was made the moment of beginning by Khamenei to count down the day of the destruction of Israel.

Carrying banners containing protests against Israel, the demonstrators also shouted to destroy Israel. President Hassan Rouhani and parliamentary speaker Ali Larijani was among the officials who attended the rally.

In a speech before the people who will be praying Friday at University field Tehran, Larijani said Israel was the most violent terrorists in history.

"Israel is the mother of terrorism," said Larijani was quoted as saying from Independent, (24/6/2017).

At the end of the rally, looks an electronic screen that is mounted on the ground in Palestine in Tehran featuring numbers 8,411. The figure is the number of days of the remaining age Israel.

Iran State media claimed the rally followed more than a million people in Tehran alone. In addition to a similar parotes in Tehran, appeared throughout Iran. They denounced the occupation of Israel over the Palestinian territories and Israel and the United States flag burning.

Rallies against Israel is an annual event which marks the day of Al-Quds, an Arabic name for Jerusalem's historic. Iran says this is an opportunity to express support for the Palestinians and stressed the importance of Jerusalem to Muslims.[]

AMP - The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said he "deeply deplores" the killings of three Palestinians - one of whom was shot by a settler - as anger boiled over increased Israeli restrictions at Jerusalem's al-Aqsa compound.

Guterres condemned the killings and called for an investigation early on Saturday, hours after mass protests by Palestinians around the holy site turned deadly.

He urged Israeli and Palestinian leaders to refrain from actions that could further escalate the volatile situation in Jerusalem's Old City, saying that religious sites should be spaces for reflection, not violence.

Citing Guterres, UN deputy spokesman Farhan Haq said the organisation understands "legitimate security concerns, but on the other hand it is important that the status quo at the site be retained".

Israeli security forces violently clamped down on Friday's demonstrations, firing live ammunition, tear gas and rubber-coated bullets at crowds of Palestinians protesting against the new measures, which include the barring of Muslim men under the age of 50 from the holy site and the installation of metal detectors.

Israel tightened its grip on the compound on July 14 after two Israeli security officers were killed in an alleged attack by three Palestinians, who were themselves killed by Israeli police following the violence.
Deaths and arrests

In the first fatal incident a week later on Friday, an Israeli settler killed 18-year-old Muhammad Mahmoud Sharaf in the Ras al-Amud neighbourhood in occupied East Jerusalem.

A second Palestinian, 20-year-old Muhamad Hasan Abu Ghanam, was killed by live fire during the demonstrations in Jerusalem.

And Israeli forces killed a third victim, 17-year-old Muhamad Mahmoud Khalaf, in clashes in the West Bank.

According to the Red Crescent, there were 450 wounded by Israeli forces during the protests in Jerusalem and the West Bank, with at least 215 injuries caused by tear gas inhalation.

Police say a Palestinian attacker also killed three Israelis at a West Bank settlement.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club said that at least 21 Palestinians were arrested at Friday's protests in the West Bank, including at least 10 from Jerusalem.

Israeli media reported that four Israeli police officers were injured during the protests after Palestinians threw rocks and flares at them.

Palestinians view the Israeli measures at al-Aqsa as collective punishment for the July 14 incident and an infringement on the status quo, which gives Muslims religious control over the compound and Jews the right to visit, but not pray there.
'Excessive use of force'

Several countries have condemned Israel's increased control, including Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.

In a statement released on Friday night, Egypt's foreign ministry called upon the Israeli government to be rational and not "let the situation get into a dangerous swamp" that endangers attempts to revive peace talks.

The statement condemned Israel for the civilian deaths and what it described as an "excessive use of force".

Egypt warned that Israel was in danger of "fuelling tension among the Palestinian people and the entire Muslim nation" by restricting religious freedom.

Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad, while making a rare public address over the GCC crisis, called for unity.

"I cannot end this speech without expressing solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people, especially our people in Al Quds [Jerusalem], and denouncing the closure of the al-Aqsa Mosque," he said.

"[I hope] that what is happening in Al Quds [can] be an incentive for unity and solidarity instead of division."

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced the suspension of all contact with Israel "until it cancels its measures at al-Aqsa Mosque and preserves the status quo".

Al Jazeera's Harry Fawcett said this means ending security cooperation between Palestinian security forces and Israel, a popular demand by most Palestinians.

But Abbas' statement could set off "a standoff that is even more difficult to bridge in the short-term", Fawcett said.(Aljazire)

AMP - At least three Palestinians have been killed, according to local media, and hundreds more injured amid mass protests over new Israeli security measures at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

In the first incident, an Israeli settler killed an 18-year-old Palestinian man in the Ras al-Amud neighbourhood in occupied East Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The death of Muhamd Mahmoud Sahraf was confirmed by Israeli security and the Red Crescent.

A second Palestinian was also confirmed killed by live fire during the demonstrations that followed Friday prayers, officials at a hospital in Jerusalem told AP news agency.

The Palestinian Authority also reported that a third man was killed during clashes with Israeli forces in the West Bank.

The two other fatalities were identified as Muhamad Mahmoud Khalaf and Muhamad Hasan Abu Ghanam.

Israeli police also fired live ammunition, tear gas and rubber-coated bullets at Palestinians protesting against the new measures, including the barring of Muslim men under the age of 50 from the holy site and the installation of metal detectors.

In one incident, an Israeli soldier, who was carrying a firearm, kicked an unarmed worshipper while he was praying.

The protests come a week after a deadly shoot-out at the occupied East Jerusalem compound, which triggered tensions.

The rallies started after the Muslim Friday prayers, which took place around midday local time.

At the conclusion of the Isha evening prayers, clashes erupted again with Israeli forces firing stun grenades at the crowd, Al Jazeera's Harry Fawcett, who was reporting outside al-Aqsa, said.

At least 140 Palestinians have been injured in occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.

Earlier in the day, police swarmed into Jerusalem's Arab neighbourhoods, particularly in and around the walled Old City where the shrine is located.

At least 3,000 Israeli police and border police units had been deployed to the area, according to a police spokesman.

Israel's security cabinet said that Israeli police would decide when to remove metal detectors and turnstiles installed at the compound last week - a disappointing statement to Palestinians who view the measures as collective punishment and an infringement on the status quo, which gives Muslims religious control over the compound and Jews the right to visit, but not pray there.

Israel tightened its grip on the compound after two Israeli security officers were killed in an alleged attack by three Palestinians, who were killed by Israeli police following the violence.

On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received recommendations from different sectors of Israel's security services on the metal detectors.

Israel's internal security service, Shin Bet, said the barriers should be removed, while Jerusalem police insisted they stay.

Palestinian member of the Knesset Mohammad Barakeh told a meeting of Palestinian leaders in Jerusalem early on Friday that the security cabinet's decision is a "political game".

"The Israeli government's [decision] of referring the matter to the police is a political game in order to absolve Netanyahu of any responsibility by implying that this is not a political issue, rather a security issue, but the truth is that this is a political decision."

The leaders rejected Israel's measures and vowed to continue to hold prayers outside the compound until the barriers are removed.  Nex

Kilicdaroglu, second right, is marching from Ankara to an Istanbul to protest the conviction of one of his party's lawmakers [AP]
AMP - President Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticised Turkey's main opposition party over its protest march launched after a party deputy got 25 years in prison for espionage.

Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu began the march after the jailing of CHP lawmaker Enis Berberoglu, who was jailed for leaking information on the transportation of arms to Syria.

Speaking at his Justice and Development (AK) Party's provincial meeting in the capital Ankara, Erdogan said: "If you are launching a march for terrorists and for their supporters, something which you have never thought about doing against terrorist groups, you can convince no one that your aim is justice."

Erdogan accused the party of acting with terrorist groups and forces that incite such groups against Turkey.

"This situation, which anyone who in their right mind can see clearly, is part of traps set up in Syria, Iraq, the Gulf, and Europe against our country," he added.

Kilicdaroglu intends to complete the 450-kilometre walk from Ankara to Maltepe prison in Istanbul, where Berberoglu is being held, in 24 days.

Marching without party insignia and simply a sign with the word "justice" in Turkish, he has been followed by thousands every day and plans to end the march on July 9 with a mass rally outside the prison.

Kilicdaroglu is being accompanied by CHP deputies and supporters, as well as family members.

Berberoglu was convicted of revealing state secrets by passing images to Cumhuriyet daily of Turkish intelligence trucks en route to Syria in January 2014.

He is the first CHP deputy to be imprisoned in recent years. Around a dozen lawmakers from the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) are currently jailed, most awaiting trial over alleged links to the PKK.

In May 2016, parliament voted to strip lawmakers facing trial of their parliamentary immunity. |

'The war is so cruel; it stained our children's minds with very bad memories and experiences' [Isra Namey/Al Jazeera]
AMP -  Surviving in a dirty tent in southern Gaza, Salman Shigan cannot return home across the border to neighbouring Egypt - because his home no longer exists.

"We escaped from the unbearable persecution and almost certain death carried out by the Egyptian army, during what they called the counterterrorism operations against jihadist groups in Sinai," the 71-year-old told Al Jazeera.

Shigan's family home in northern Sinai was demolished by the Egyptian army in 2015, as soldiers worked to clear areas where armed fighters were alleged to be hiding. The incident prompted him to suffer a heart attack. After partially recovering, he and his family - including 24 children and grandchildren - fled to Gaza through a tunnel used by smugglers.

The Egyptian army has not compensated the family for the destruction of their house. "They left us to face unknown destiny with our young children … Now, we live in abominable conditions and hugely suffer to get the basic services of water and electricity," Shigan said.

Egypt's Sinai province has been rocked by violence and instability since armed groups stepped up attacks against the army after the 2013 overthrow of Mohamed Morsi, the country's first democratically elected president. In response, the Egyptian army launched a massive military campaign, which involved the demolition of hundreds of homes. Caught in the crossfire, hundreds of Bedouin tribespeople have fled the region for Gaza.

The flow of refugees from the Sinai has continued into this year, with many telling of how their homes were demolished, their loved ones persecuted and their lives destroyed. But they are not finding much comfort in the Gaza Strip, where a crippling Israeli-Egyptian siege has made life unbearable for many of the territory's two million residents.

Aisha Silmi, 50, finally made it to Gaza in 2016 after many aborted attempts to cross the border. After living for three decades in the Egyptian half of the divided city of Rafah, Silmi and her family were expelled from their town by the Egyptian army.

She recalls the day an Egyptian battalion raided her house, frightening her children and ordering them to leave.

"They rigged the corners of my house with explosives and set them off by remote control in front of my eyes," Silmi told Al Jazeera. "The ordeal did not stop there; they even started to frantically chase two of my sons, accusing them of having links with the militants."

The Egyptian army ultimately arrested two of her children and brutally beat them before releasing them, she said, noting that the family began preparing to move to Gaza shortly thereafter. They were not compensated for their demolished house and had to start from zero in Gaza. Silmi says that she lives in constant fear over the fate of her relatives remaining in Sinai.

"I am so much afraid for them and their destiny there," she said. "Not every one of us who wanted to travel to Gaza succeeded, and sadly many are still stranded in the desert."

Ziad Sarafandi, the head of refugees' affairs in Gaza, told Al Jazeera that the Egyptians who had fled across the border needed help badly. His office was trying to assist them by securing scholarships for their children to study in local universities, along with coordinating with the United Nations to help provide basic aid.

"Those refugees sought shelter in Gaza, which is mainly constituted of refugees," Sarafandi said. "Despite the bad conditions here, we can never abandon our Egyptian brothers and sisters."

Meanwhile, those Egyptians who have crossed the border say they are continually haunted by their losses as they struggle to survive in the blockaded territory.

Mohammed - who spoke to Al Jazeera on condition of anonymity, fearing retaliation from the Egyptian army - said that he was forced to flee Sinai amid fears of being killed or injured in the ongoing conflict.

"We escaped from certain death. After my son was captured by the army, tortured and lost one of his eyes, I told my family that we cannot continue to live here for one more day," Mohammed said. "We moved to Gaza through the smuggling tunnels. My daughters and my ill wife were very afraid while crossing the tunnels.

"The war is so cruel; it stained our children's minds with very bad memories and experiences," he added. "In spite of our pain and loss, we are trying to remain composed and get back on our feet again. But I am looking for a day when the war is over, to turn back and build my house in Sinai with my family."
